What a privilege it has been to share in the ministry potential of Bryon Sawyer. I was introduced to Bryon through his pastor, Dr. Michael D. Turner.  Bryon traveled to our facilities in Myrtle Beach and presented his music through live performance. First, I was most impressed with his compositions. The compositions displayed strong lyric flow, an easy to follow melody line, and a diversity in harmonic interest. The theological contents of the compositions were scripturally grounded. His performance technique on the guitar was at a professional studio level and his singing was engaging. It was at this point that I encouraged Bryon to allow me the opportunity of sharing his gift and talent with colleagues in Nashville. Bryon’s music was shared with several in the Christian music industry that felt that Bryon had great potential for ministerial success. Dr. Vernon Whaley, President of  Integra Music Group of Nashville, believed that Bryon has a great possibility to break into the Christian-Country venue. Dr. Whaley’s vision for Bryon was so strong that he offered Bryon an opportunity to record a custom project under the Integra Label. Recording with the support of a major label gives Bryon greater potential for radio play and Christian Bookstore distribution. With a product of this nature Bryon can use this to enhance his performance ministry and enlarge his ministry through national distribution. Throughout October I have had the privilege of personally working with Bryon on his stage presentation. We have worked for flow in presentation and scriptural cohesiveness in the performance.
